Right then Moss check all the bits you've been offered tick em off your list & lets see what else you might need or like to hire ops sorry I mean borrow.
You may find that what you end up borrowing is to heavy to run around with all day so therefore you won't want to purchase it if & when you decide to play more ww2 games.
Cheers
Peter.

Okie dokie, my girlfriend bought one of those cheap, plastic tommy helmets off of eBay, so headgear is all sorted.
Fremsley has offered to lend her webbing.
Gordon has offered to lend her boots.
I haven't got a reply from McVickers regarding uniform, I'll drop him a message.
Jerry a trick you've said we can borrow guns off of you.
The only thing we need now is safety specs for my girlfriend and we'll be set.

Thanks, Moss.

Hello all, I intend to come to kasserine but have no DAK/tropical fj kit of any sort! I did have a few offers for kit when I first joined the forum but as sometime has passed im unsure if they are still available, all my webbing (including y straps etc) are leather, can these still be used, its ironic in a way as my grandfather brought a ton of DAK stuff back from his time in the service - but that is now lost in someone's attic im sure,

With the plastic Brodie helmets, there is no liner. To make it more secure and comfortable I found that if you get a bit of scrim netting the right size and tie the opposing corners together underneath the helmet it gives a more comfortable fit to the head. Then thread some string through the netting about an inch from the rim and pull it tight and tie off so the netting cannot slide about. As a bonus the netting covers up the fact that the helmet is plastic.

Hi, the leather straps are not an issue, but you need the correct uniform. No idea what size you are, but Crowley is offering his tropical FJ kit for loan. Maybe have a word with him.

Cheers mate, yeah I knew that they don't have a liner, but I figured that my girlfriends hair would solve that. I was gonna give her a helmet net to put on it anyway, to hide the plastic-ness of it, but its good to know that it'll help keep it on her bonce. :good:

I've two MkIIs in Service Brown to lend out - one a 58cm and one a 59cm - if either would fit your girlfriend?

My true size is chest 40/42in & waist 36/38in I also have a helmet & some webbing spare but I think all my weapons are spoken for but i'll bring it all anyway. :D

Hi to all who wish to borrow some US kit
I am hoping to arrive on friday so that if anyone that needs to borrow an item or two can get sorted sooner rather than later.
First thing is I would like to ask if anyone has any spare 6mm gas mags for asg/marushin m1carbine that I could borrow for the day.
If I end up borrowing some m1carbine mags I will have to lend out a big list==
1 thompson with spare mags
1 BAR with spare mag
1 set webbing with doughboy havasack
1 balt & braces
3 m1 helmets
1 trousers m43
2 jackets m43 if it's cold
1 jacket m41 if your short of a wool shirt.
But sorry I have no spare wool shirts or wool trousers as one of each is all I want in my kit bag as thay are more irritating than my wife snoring
I hope this list will be helpful to anyone that needs any kit.
Cheers
Peter.
